Automatic Recirculation Chimneys for pigs – Estonia

A project equipped with our Automatic Recirculation Chimney (ARC).

For this pig housing project in Estonia, we supplied automatic recirculation chimneys (ARC’s) which are perfect for preheating incoming air. The recirculation opening of the ARC chimney opens or closes to increase or decrease the amount of recirculation. For the right throw of air in the house, we use a diffuser plate installed at the bottom of the chimney. In this project, the exhaust of air is done by exhaust chimneys installed in the roof ridge. Since pigs are very sensitive for cold air the use of ventilations chimneys with recirculation is ideal, especially in Estonia where winters can be severe this helps. Another aspect where recirculation of warm air can help with is saving on heating costs.
