AIC – Adjustable Inlet Chimney

TPI-Polytechniek offers a comprehensive range of chimney parts specifically designed to enhance equal pressure ventilation (EPV) systems, a key innovation in sustainable livestock housing. These systems maintain a balanced air pressure by using inlet chimneys to bring in fresh air, while exhaust air is removed through either gable fans or exhaust chimneys. The core advantage of EPV is its ability to control airflow in a way that promotes animal welfare, particularly in climate-sensitive environments like pig and poultry housing.

A notable feature of TPI’s chimney components is the option to have the inlet chimney open and close by a motor. This allows the AIC to operate similarly as a ceiling inlet. This is crucial in maintaining the ideal climate conditions inside the barn year-round. Using these air intake chimneys in combination with a fan allows it to fit perfectly in an equal pressure ventilation system. The equal pressure ventilation is used when popholes or doors are installed in the house. The balanced ventilation system has a neutral pressure and no air flows at the popholes or the doors. Making it easy for your birds and pigs to come and go as they please.

All chimneys are made from high-quality polyurethane, ensuring strong insulation properties and durability across all climate conditions. The components come in customizable heights and are available in two colors: the standard PU yellow and black. This versatility allows them to be integrated seamlessly into various housing concepts, including those that require highly efficient air management, such as free-range poultry or pig farming.
